Summary
This article explains how SalesPRO calculates total square feet and total linear feet to be displayed in Order Entry.
More Information
In Order Entry the total square feet and total linear feet for the order are displayed in the status bar.
This information is updated automatically as the lines in the order are added and removed.
How the Totals are Calculated
Each time a line is added or removed from an order the totals are updated. To determine the square
feet and linear feet for each line the system looks for specific options in each line and uses them to
determine the width and height of the line. The options that are used are:
- Finished Overall Width / Finished Overall Height
- Finished Width / Finished Height
- Overall Width / Overall Height
- Width / Height
- Pricing Width / Pricing Height
The first width and height options that are found are the ones used.
If a product has both Finished Width and Width, Finished Width will be used.
If a product has both Pricing Width and Width, Pricing Width will be used.
Once the width and height have been determined the values are used to calculate the total square
feet and total linear feet. Note: The values are assumed to be in inches.
