Why it was created

This hot fix fixes a problem that prevented email from being sent when company email preferences were set to employee specific and then employees where using email settings specific to this employee (which is SMTP email). This issue occurred because the some SMTP settings were not processed correctly. The error message often displayed was:


Unable to send an e-mail message.

A connection was made to the SMTP server but the login failed. Check your user name and password.
