Summary

Solatech Focus gives you the ability to connect Google Calendar with your Focus account.  Once setup is completed, users may schedule appointments for themselves and other users on their account. 


Note:  Before performing the steps below, you will need to have the email address and password associated with your Google account.


Connecting your Google calendar for Sales Reps and Installers

  • Log into your Focus account
  • Click on Admin from the upper navigational bar
  • In the section Google Calendar, click on the button Sign in with Google




  • On the Google sign in screen, enter the email or phone number associated with your Google account and click Next




  • On the next screen, enter the password for your Google account and click Next
  • On the next screen, click Allow
  • The Admin page in Solatech Focus will now show that your account has been connected



Please note that each user must connect his/her Google account while logged into Focus.  


Connecting your Google account for Account Administrators

  • Log into Solatech Focus
  • Click on Admin from the upper navigational bar
  • Click on Users from the sub-menu
  • Click on the hyperlink for your user name


 

  • The Google Calendar section will be shown on your user page
  • You will follow the remainder of the instructions listed above for Sales Reps and Installers


How to schedule appointments

  • Once one or more users have connected their Google calendar, a button will be shown on the Home screen called Schedule Appointment
  • Clicking on this button will bring up a Scheduler window
  • The drop down menu Schedule For: will contain a list of all account users with connected calendars



  • Click on the appropriate user
  • File in title, date and time. 

Note: Clicking on the earth icon will allow you to change your time zone.  If no time zone is selected, Solatech Focus will automatically use the time zone on your computer. 




  • Select the appropriate customer from the list
  • Customer address will auto populate with the values found in the customer record. 
  • Enter any applicable notes in the Description field
  • Clicking the link Open my Google Calendar will allow a user to check time availability
  • Click Apply to schedule appointment. 


Additional areas to schedule appointments

  • Customer Details screen



  • From within a Quote, Sale or Order.  Note that scheduling from within a Quote, Sale or Order will allow you to select from multiple types of appointments using a drop down menu.
