Symptoms

When you run the Solatech Window Covering Software you receive the following error message:

Run-time error 0


Note: The title of the error message is vbalExplorerBarLib.


Cause

This can be caused by one or more required system files being not registered correctly.


Resolution

Manually register the following required system files:

  • SSubTmr6.dll
  • vbalExpBar6.ocx


To register these files:

  1. Click Start, Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt. Note, on Windows Vista or Windows 7 you must right-click on the Command Prompt menu and choose "Run as Administrator".
  2. At the command prompt type "CD\" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
  3. At the command prompt type "CD Windows\System32" and press Enter.
  4. At the command prompt type "regsvr32 ssubtmr6.dll" and press Enter. Press OK on the success message.
  5. At the command prompt type "regsvr32 vbalexpbar6.ocx" and press Enter. Press OK on the success message.
  6. At the command prompt type "exit" and press Enter.


Status

There are a number of possible causes for files to become unregistered. The most common are by uninstalling

software that uses these files. It's also possible for the registry entry to become corrupt

when shutting down Windows incorrectly.
