Summary


If your Solatech Product Policy gets deleted, you may receive various error messages when trying to download and install Product Updates.  The most common of these errors is "Code 34" .  The text will read "The product X cannot be added because the manufacturer X cannot be found or added to this company"


More Information

If you receive this error message when running a product update, contact Solatech support (support@solatech.com) to have a new Product Policy sent via the internet to you.  You will receive instructions on how to install the new product policy from the Support Team.  


To prevent this error from re-occurring, please follow the steps below:

  1. From within Solatech, go to File>Preferences
  2. From the list on the left hand column, under Common, select Startup/Shutdown
  3. In the right hand column, look for the section When the application closes
  4. Remove the check mark next to Check for product updates every __ days
  5. Press Ok to exit Preferences.
