This article explains how to use Simple Data Transfer 4 to send files to Solatech for testing or evaluation. 


More Information

Solatech may request that you send product files or company database files to us as part of the support process.  Since these files are large, they cannot be sent via email.  Simple Data Transfer 4 is installed as part of our software package and it enables users to easily send large files. If you do not have Simple Data Transfer 4 on your computer, you may download and install it by clicking on the following link and following the instructions on the web page: Solatech Support.


To Send Files in Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7

  1. Click Start,>All Programs
  2. Navigate to Solatech>Simple Data Transfer 4
  3. Click on Send Files to Someone. This will open the Simple Data Transfer window.
  4. On the Simple Data Transfer Window in Step 1, click on the Add File button and navigate to the location of the file to be sent.
  5. If sending more than one file, they will need to be selected one at a time.
  6. In Step 2, enter the requested information, including a brief description (required)
  7. In Step 3, enter support@solatech.com
  8. In Step 4, click Send


To Send Files in Windows 8, Windows 8.1

  1. Navigate to the start screen and type "Send Files to Someone"
  2. On the right hand side of your screen click on the result Send Files to Someone. This will open the Simple Data Transfer window.
  3. On the Simple Data Transfer Window in Step 1, click on the Add File button and navigate to the location of the file to be sent.
  4. If sending more than one file, they will need to be selected one at a time.
  5. In Step 2, enter the requested information, including a brief description (required)
  6. In Step 3, enter support@solatech.com
  7. In Step 4, click Send



To Send Files in Windows 10

  1. Type "Send Files to Someone" in the lower left hand side of your computer screen (in the Cortana box)
  2. Click on the result Send Files to Someone. This will open the Simple Data Transfer window.  
  3. On the Simple Data Transfer Window in Step 1, click on the Add File button and navigate to the location of the file to be sent.
  4. If sending more than one file, they will need to be selected one at a time.
  5. In Step 2, enter the requested information, including a brief description (required)
  6. In Step 3, enter support@solatech.com
  7. In Step 4, click Send
