Summary

This article will discuss how to create a Product Adjustment File in Solatech.  Creating a Product Adjustment File will allow you to change which options are shown in the description field for a particular product. 


Instructions

  • From within Solatech, go to Products>Product Manager
  • Locate the product for which you wish to create a Product Adjustment File
  • Click on the product name to highlight it
  • Use the drop down under Product and select Product Adjustment File>Create






  • You will receive notification that the Product Adjustment File has been created
  • Use the drop down menu under product and select Product Adjustment File>Edit Content
  • You will see the Product Designer(Adjustment Mode) window
  • Expand the first product style by clicking on the "+" button to the left of the style name
  • Double click on  "Option Adjustments"




  • Place a check mark next to any option you would like to add to the description
  • You may also type a descriptive prefix (if desired)
  • Please note that there are two separate description columns Order Desc. and Alt. Order Description. 
  • The Alt. Order Desc. is used on quotes, and does not included sizes
  • The Order Desc. is used on Orders
  • You will want to make changes to each description column if you would like the new options to print on both quotes and orders
  • In the example below, we have added "Custom Valance Width" to both description columns


  • You will want to do this for each individual Style of the product (if applicable)
  • When you have finished making adjustments, simply close the Product Designer(Adjustment Mode) window
  • You will see the any products with Product Adjustment Files will have a pencil icon to the left of the product name in Product Manager




Note: When products are updated, you will need to recreate the Product Adjustment File
