This article will explain the new features and updates to existing features that were introduced in version 5.0.284
Note: In this article, Q/S/O refers to quotes, sales and orders.
New Features
You can now update the PO costs without having to open Order Entry and change line items
In the PO Center, on the Send to Purchasing screen, use the new Override Costs command to update the costs of purchase order line items. Use this when you get costs from the manufacturer that are different from what you originally calculated in Order Entry.
More updates
- The product type can now be shown in a column for each line item in process reports.
- Added a order consistency check when printing.
- You can now show a comma delimited list of PO numbers for a sale or order on process reports.
- You can use the new information icon in the Edit Product Item dialog to view product version information.
- Item Price Adjustments now process criteria to determine if they should be applied or not.
- Added a preference to allow skipping of comments when performing certain workflow actions.
- A link to the Users Guide was added to the Help menu. Accessing this User's Guide requires an Internet connection.
- More context menu (right-click) commands were added to the QSO Workflow screen and PO Workflow screen.
- You can now cancel an order.
- You can now add the taxable status of a line item to process reports. It will show as Yes or No.
Updates to Existing Features
It's easier to select multiple lines in Order Entry and Product Compare
In Order Entry click Select, Choose Lines to display a dialog box where you can select one or more lines using the mouse only. This makes it easier to select lines when using SalesPro on a tablet. In Product Compare you can select multiple cells by clicking the Select Cell on Click button.
More updates
- Added a 70% and a 100% choice in the drop down menu in the payments screen.
- You must now close all open Order Entry windows before a company can be closed or before you can close the software.
- When emailing an installer form, order confirmation, invoice or field measure form, the default to address will be based on the sales rep, installer or customer where appropriate. Also, the list of To addressees on the email send form won't show entries for blank email addresses.
- You can now require export product names for products when exporting to QuickBooks.
- Some of the warning and confirmation dialog boxes shown when moving QSO through the workflow are now optional.
- Order Entry now shows 64 search results in the Customer drop-down, instead of 32.

Items Fixed
- Fixed a bug that caused filtering on customer groups in the Customers Center to not work.
- You can now include multiple email addresses in the CC field when sending email. Use the ; to separate each address.
- Process reports now accurately reflect changes to installation addresses.
- Fixed a bug that allowed line items in Order Entry to be dragged from one window to another.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Export Vendor Name field setup in Vendors to not get used when exported PO's to QuickBooks.
- Sent PO's that are duplicated are no longer marked as sent.
- Adding a comma to dollar amount when entering a payment no longer causes a problem.
- Fixed a bug that caused selecting a drop ship address to only work when editing a QSO - not when creating a QSO.
- Fixed a bug that caused items to not get updated correctly when the quote center is open and a quote was updated.
- Fixed a bug that caused the customer name to not always export to QuickBooks when exporting customers separately and the format was set to full name.
- Customer measurements no longer append numbers to the locations when synced with roaming workstations.
