What's new with SalesPRO version 5.0.227
This article will explain the new features and updates to existing features that were introduced in version 5.0.227
Note: In this article, Q/S/O refers to quotes, sales and orders.
New Features
Additional charges can be classified as installation, shipping or other and these totals can be shown as separate fields in Order Entry and process reports
Additional charges and customer promotions can be given a category of Installation, Shipping or Other. When these charges are added to a quote they can be viewed separatly and these separate values can also be printed on process reports.
Note: Existing charges will be listed as Other and existing process reports will only show the Services total.
You can now indicate now much a user saved in a specific field on a process report
When setting up fields for a process report you can indicate if the field should have a grand total shown at the end of the report, under the column. Use this to print the total number of lines on a quote or sum amount fields.
Note: At this time formula and option fields cannot be totaled.
Totals for individual columns can be shown on process reports
You can setup process reports to show as a separate field how much was saved (a total of all customer discounts, item discounts and customer promotions).
More new features
- Additional charges and customer promotions can be sorted with a user-defined sequence.
- Payment details can now be shown on process reports.
Updates to Existing Features
Three new managed security roles are now available to be installed: Manager, Sales Rep., and Installer
Use the Add/Update Additional Security Roles command on the Security Roles dialog to quickly add these three new roles to your company.
Important: It is recommended that you do not modify these roles after adding them as they will be periodically updated by Solatech.
Other
- Notices that come from products no longer appear on process reports.
- The process for sequencing options on the description strings has been made easier.
- Working with options that appear on the description strings is easier.
Bugs Fixed
- Some temporary files were not deleted when the app was closed.
- Various security access issues were resolved.
- Fixed a bug that caused the review purchase order window to be blank.
- Pressing Enter when typing an email in the Send Email dialog no longer sends the message.
- Fixed a bug that prevented option callouts at the product type level from not working.
- Option defaults now work correctly.
